JGA is the firm of chartered accountants founded by John Grogan in 2009 in order to continue to develop the practice which he conducted as a partner in a top ten national firm for over 20 years.
We are not a typical accountancy practice.
Although we are proud to provide a range of traditional accountancy services to a select group of retained clients, including businesses and individuals, most of our work is forensic, or expert witness, work where we are instructed by solicitors and insurers to provide reports for use by the Courts in a wide variety of litigation matters where accountancy expertise is needed.
Even among firms of forensic accountants we are not typical. We are one of the few genuine expert witness practices, whose credentials to provide expert evidence to the Courts are founded on the real and up to date day to day experience in mainstream accountancy practice which comes from our involvement in the affairs of our retained clients.
John is joined in the practice by his wife Andrea, herself an experienced Chartered Accountant, who mainly assists with the provision of our general practice services to businesses and individuals, but also provides a valuable professional support role in our expert witness practice.
We practise in the North West and in London, but receive instructions in forensic cases from all parts of the country. Our charging rates reflect that we are a small niche practice with low overheads. We charge the same rates in London as in the provinces.
We are authorised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to provide CPD training to solicitors.
